Obscure Musical lyric for the week of July 28, 2008

Good morning y'all.

had a really busy day yesterday and am quite tired and sore, at the same time we had an awesome visit with some friends from St. Catharines.

At least the title is spelled correctly this week.

So, I got to thinking about what I would choose for a lyric this week. This song, singer and album is a huge favourite of mine and I'll bet of the folks of my vintage will share my feelings. The song is not obscure at all, just an homage to some fine people that rarely get their props. The album was released in 1977. If anyone has a copy on cd, can I borrow it? I'd love to listen and remember.

So let's see who get's this one first, cause I think Scottie G is on holidays.

All responses will be replied to. nudge, nudge, say no more.(not a hint)

And we got time to think of the ones we love
While the miles roll away
But the only time that seems too short
Is the time that we get to play

I need to know the following:

The name of the writer(s).
The name of the song.
The name of the album.
What(who) the song is about.

Have an awesome week enjoy the warm weather, I'm hoping to try and get out of the house for a drive to the office to visit y'all sometime soon, when able.

I miss y'all.
